Game 1 Results: Buena Park American vs. East La Mirada

Team effort contributed to Buena Park American Little League's Major All-Stars' 11-1 win in Game 1 against East La Mirada.

BPALL played brilliantly against ELM to win the District 29 opener June 30.

Lead off hitter #21 Christopher “Papo” Rivera crushed a 2-0 pitch over center field for a solo homerun.

East La Mirada answered with a solo HR in the bottom of the 2nd inning to tie the game 1-1. This would be ELM’s first and only run scored the entire game. After 2 complete innings BPALL led 2-1.

Several players for BPALL scored off strong batting which finally came alive in the 4th inning. BPALL went on a hit-run-score rally which fared in their favor.

Other contributors were Catcher Ryan Morgan with two doubles and three RBI's; Center fielder Kyle Schultz with a single and RBI, and first baseman Isaiah Terrazas with a single and two RBI's.


Next game: Monday, July 2 @ 5 p.m. versus Little Lake at Norwalk Little League Field


Papo connects for a lead-off homerun in the first inning.



Papo dominated the game with 14 strikeouts, giving up only 2 hits and 1 walk.


Isaiah Terrazas had a single and two RBI's.



Ryan Morgan had two doubles and three RBI's.


Kyle Schultz and Morgan jog back to the dug-out.
